He Will Guide
a devotional by Sophia Kaminski
Being in my senior year of high school, it feels like everyone has asked me the same two questions: “What are you planning to go to school for?” and “What college are you going to attend?”
Both of which I do not know the answer to. This brings a lot of stress and worry!
But what I wasn’t seeing, is that I wasn’t fully relying on God to guide me.
I wasn’t trusting that He has a perfect plan for my life.
In Proverbs 3:5, it says – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.”
You see!? Genuine faith is relying on God’s direction and on who He is. God is reliable!
He knows what you need, and He wants to meet those needs!
Unfortunately, we think we know better… We think we have a better plan. We want to use our logic and get to the answer in a way that makes us look good, and that doesn’t require risk.
But God wants us to grow, so He takes us a different way!
Philippians 4:6 – “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”
Isaiah 41:13 – “For I am the Lord, your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.”
Psalms 18:2 – “The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
